Our featured panelist for today is Dr Shashidhar Rao, Head, Global Medical Affairs, India Operations, Novartis Healthcare, India. He will be speaking at Pharma Trials World Asia 2012, part of a series of conferences at the 5th Annual BioPharma Asia Convention 2012.
A short introduction for our panelist: Dr Rao is a certified Anesthesiologist from PGIMER Chandigarh, India, and has an MBA from the Washington University in St. Louis, USA, with over 15 years of experience in medical sciences and pharmaceutical management. Besides having practiced anesthesiology and critical care for several years, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in Marketing, Product Development, Medical Affairs and Operations at various organizations including Elsevier, Pfizer and Accenture. Dr Rao has been with Novartis since 2008 and is currently heading the Indian operations of Global Medical Affairs. He has also managed clinical development teams specifically in medical writing, biostatistics and data management during his various roles at Novartis. Dr Rao is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
