Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) are widely used to automate laboratory processes and to assist with regulatory compliance.
Organizations that installed LIMS many years ago are now turning their attention to new-generation products that take advantage of the latest capabilities and enhanced flexibility. Clinical trial companies must remain competitive and be able to adapt quickly to the demands of a fast paced market and their clients. The advanced features and configurability of new-generation LIMS products offer clinical trials businesses more flexibility and opportunities to enhance their service. However, introducing a new laboratory software system is not without its challenges and requires careful planning and good support from the vendor.
This presentation outlines the preparations for, and delivery of, a new-generation LIMS product into a busy clinical trials laboratory.
