At BioPharma Asia Convention 2013, Mr Andrew Taylor, Head, Asia-Pacific Clinical Data Management, Roche joined us as a distinguished speaker. He spoke at the Pharma Trials conference track, on the topic “Overcoming global data management challenges with an Asian-based data management group”. Focusing on Asia, Andrew outlined the technical guidelines for data management in Clinical Trials (SFDA, CDE) and utilization of talent in Asia to support global drug development. He also addressed issues such as the development of a China office as part of a global Pharma data management function, leveraging global resources, systems & processes to accelerate the growth & competence of the China office and collaboration of global and regional staff to support clinical trials to accelerate drug registration in China
Andrew Taylor has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 1988, with international experience in clinical data management, clinical operations and IT. Andrew joined Roche Australia in 2002 having previously worked for both GSK and Quintiles. With Roche, he relocated to Shanghai in July 2010 and now leads clinical data management activities in Asia-Pacific.
