With the funding from the National Action Plan and dedicated public-private partnerships such the Broad Spectrum Antimicrobial Program by the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) and the New Drugs for Bad Bugs Program of the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI), there is a clear commitment to bring new antibiotics to market.

The World Anti-Microbial Resistance Congress taking place in Washington DC this September 8-9, is bringing together payers, funding and government agencies, academics, pharma and biotech to shine a light on this global issue and discuss potential solutions.
